The first meeting of the ”Green Run Network” ERASMUS+ project

Members of the Mountaineering  Ski  Sports  Society ”Železničar”, Mr. Nenad Sudarov and Mr. Aleksandar Radukin, participated on 16th February, 2021. in online kick off meeting about ERASMUS+ project “Green Run Network”.

The main objectives of the project are:

– creation of the label of Green Running Events, guidelines how to join the network of green running events and list of benefits of the ‘Green Run Label,

– establishment of the network of Green Running Events,

– creation of the educational materials for the organizers and participants of the running events with information about pro-ecological solutions during participation in physical activity and in daily life. Also, the project envisages the creation of educational materials for organizers and participants of racing events with information on environmental solutions when exercising and in regular life.

The coordinator of the project is the Gdańsk Sports Centre (POL). Mountaineering  Ski  Sports  Society ”Železničar” (SRB) is one of the partners together with the Modern Pentathlon Portuguese Federation (POR), The Koszalin Physical Culture Society (POL) and the Lithuanian Amateur Runners Association (LAT).

On the first meeting project participants discussed about administrative, technical and financial aspects of the project, networking of participants, exchange of experiences and future activities. Also, each partner of the project presented their work, city and country.

There was also talk about the current COVID situation and adapting to it.

The meeting was held online.

The ”Green Run Label” project lasts 18 months and links racing events with environmental education.
